An Invitation to CELEBRATE!

If you live near or are visiting the Los Angeles area
at the end of January, I invite you to come participate
in an entire weekend CELEBRATION of incredible
workshops hosted by the French General at the
Art of Crafting Event.

In my Butterfly Missives class participants will create
three exquisite collaged postcards/letters decorated with delicate
artworks that look as if they might fly off the page.

Each one contains a hand-painted butterfly and gold
heart carefully stitched to the front, that appear as if
they are floating over a thought gathering of vintage
lace, colorful silk fabric, and antique papers. These
are the absolutely perfect pieces just in time for
Valentines and any occasion.

The class is from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. on Saturday,
January 29rd. You can call (323) 668-0488
to reserve your place or select the following
link - French General and go to "Workshops"
to register on-line.

* All supplies are included in the cost of the
class, but hurry as this workshop is filling
quickly... SEE YOU THERE!

WELCOME 2011!

Beginnings often afford us chances to
reflect on moments past and imagine
possibilities for the future.

It is a new month... a new year, and there
are some really wonderful happenings
occurring here in the studio, with a
number of exciting opportunities as
I continue exploring my love of art
and nature.

I am especially thrilled to share that I
will be expanding my work in the area
of product design, and completely OVER
THE MOON
that there soon will be even
more retail products available for purchase.

In 2011, I will once again be working closely
with the very talented staff of Windham
Fabrics/Baum Textiles designing new
patterns, along with promoting my popular
new collection, Nature Inspired
.

I will also be working on additional retail
projects with several other companies,
those details I hope to share with you
later this year. As well as, seek new licensing
opportunities, and build a greater presence
in my on-line shop.

All of this will require many hours of painting
and design work, and I look forward to bringing
you along on this journey with me, sharing lots
of updates and sneak peeks.

Because of these licensing commitments,
I will only be accepting a few invitations
to teach, thus keeping the experience very
personal, intimate, and ensuring that close
bond with magical moments shared between
students and myself.

But never fear, even though I am scaling
back on teaching, I already have some
SUPER workshops scheduled in the
coming months, so I hope you will join me.
(But don't wait too long to sign-up, as
early 2011 classes are filling quickly...
CHECK THEM OUT here, here, and here)

And remember, you can find a current list
of venues, in the right most column of this
blog.

There is more art, verses of poetic journaling,
and bits of nature inspiration to come but for
now, here is wishing you...

A Very Happy New Year!!
