Hope

Even on this solemn occasion, I am very grateful for so many things in our world. My hope for you, dear friends, is that your days be filled with joy, peace, and light.

"In our joy, we think we hear a whisper.
At first it is too soft. Then only half heard.
We listen carefully as it gathers strength.
We hear a sweetness.
The word is PEACE.
It is loud now.
Louder than the explosion of bombs".

-Maya Angelou

Isn't this an excerpt from a longer poem that Maya Angelou wrote? If you have the entire poem/book, could you tell me the name of it? I heard the entire thing read on Oprah and kill myself every time I think about it for not writing down the name... It's just a beautiful piece of poetry... as is your artpiece to highlight it.
Hugs, Shari
