Faith, Hope, and Love

In several of my previous posts, I mentioned that I have had the pleasure of working on a variety of projects lately. This week I placed the finishing touches on one of them, and would like to share it with you.

A little over a month ago, I received a phone call from an advertising firm in Ohio. They had seen my mixed media collage work and asked me to be involved in an important project they were coordinating. As we discussed the details of the request, I became more and more excited and enthusiastic about the pieces they wanted me to create.

The job required that I construct four works for the dedication ceremony of a new cancer research hospital. The theme of the art would focus around the words, "Faith, Hope, and Love".

Not only would I need to incorporate multiple layers of rich color and vibrant texture in each one, but also quotes and handwritten phrases of inspiration.

How could I resist... here was an incredible opportunity to build on and nurture such positive affirmations in a place that constantly needs divine wisdom, guidance, and healing powers in overwhelming doses.

I felt like these artworks just reaffirmed my deep desires... To Live Each Moment With Intent and Grace, and if we gather only the most uplifting, wonderful, and empowering words and drenched our souls in them daily... we could embody and live the very essence of these mere letters strung together.

I worked very closely with a representative from the advertising firm to make sure my work was exactly what the hospital had envisioned. And, I could not be more proud of the results!!!

There is nothing more satisfying than to know your art is a small part of a celebration for such a worthy cause.

I would also like to thank you all so very much for the kind comments and private emails I have received regarding my current health. I am happy to report that I am feeling better, but still trying to rest so that I am soon back to full strength.

These are just lovely, Tracie! They have such a healing energy to them. You should be so very proud of yourself, not only for your creations but for the fact that you were sought out for such a special project. I can't think of a better fit! Woo hoo!! Hugs, Shari
