Here upon the Plains of the Midwest,
Spring has yet to arrive.
Winter, with all its might, still holds a
strong grasp on the landscape, teasing
us almost daily with gray skies, cold
temperatures, and snow.
It is an unusual turn of events, that
Mother Nature has yet to step in and
give us even the tiniest hints that a
new season might be just around the
bend.
Nevertheless, taking shelter from the
continued cold, I am nestled into this
studio of mine, madly creating the most
lush textured landscapes...
hoping to bring just a bit of Spring to my world.

and i will get to see you! a couple of friends and i are renting a little house in town for two nights to be able to come to vendor night and soak up the goodness. can't wait.

Beautiful...I hope spring arrives in Kansas soon, for your sake. The robins will appear, little flowers will begin to raise their green heads from their winter bed. In the meantime, how lovely to have such an escape.
I may be traveling through your neck of the woods in the near future. My daughter has taken a job in Creede, CO. Kansas is on the route. I know I'll be thinking of you when I cross the border!

Wow. I love these Tracie! Very yummy.
I had to click and look at the medium you are using. Mesiums can be so alluring. I don't have that one in my toolbox, nor do I have little stretched frames. Seeing this post makes me WANT. Thank you.
Oh how yummy are those little pieces. Love them and the colors of spring.
yummy indeed. little ragedy landscapes of spring. love these!
(guess you're not interested that we watched the sunset last night, from the beach and it was 73 degrees...:-)
Gotta love San Diego!

I'm in oohhh and aahhhh over those mixed media paintings! Such an inspiration!!! Spring on your blog today, and overhere the sun is shining so YAY, it IS actually gonna happen... Spring is on it's way!
They are very cool. Dare I say it, I think spring might be here in Maine... It's been a weird winter here, and spring has arrived early. I'm not complaining...
These canvases are quite lovely...such texture and depth! I really like the abstract form of these landscapes. Makes me want to burrow in from the snow and create something, too. Thanks for the inspiration, my sweet friend!
xoxoxo

I love your little canvasses. Please start a class online for this.
Yikes and to think I was cleaning the garden beds and started to through out into my compost the dried hydrangea flowers. Now I need to go and rescue them.
