Summer Folly
"Summer comes to one heart's longing,
drinking in a landscape's bounty
hot winds caress the other cheek
such innocence in these mid-year follies
Oh days of drifting upon life's Plains
lovely season fraught with bitter heat,
yet laced in lush greens, blooms fragrant and sweet,
fills our starry nights with dreams"
