The long day of the Spring season fades and on the horizon is a new dawn of Summer. The garden is nearly in full bloom, a happy sight to behold...
"these moments become memories
tossed about in the blowing breeze,
fading in the sun drenched day
like garments left on the line
moments that are left to ripen,
until they have collected
all the sweet smells of summer,
so we may carefully tuck them away."

Hi!! I just came across your blog through Alisa Burke. I could not believe my eyes when I saw your work and read your story. I have a degree in Biochemistry and have worked for the same company for the last 20 years. They are wonderful to me and have given me tons of flexibility while raising my kids. I have always loved art but didn't grow up in a family that would have encouraged it as a way of life so it has just been a hobby. Today I paint in my spare time and I tend to always draw/paint birds on hearts, flowers, etc (just like it appears so do you!). My inspiration has always been my garden and photos that I take of my flowers is what usually inspires my sketches. Maybe one day I will be as brave as you and leave the old job behind and just do what I love. For now, I have added your blog to my list so that I can live vicariously through you! Your work is amazing!
What a beautiful end of spring post. The flowers are actually comforting.
