The Sketchbook Challenge and Giveaway

I am so pleased to share with you a wonderful new book
The Sketchbook Challenge
Techniques, Prompts, and Inspiration for Achieving Your Creative Goals
In The Sketchbook Challenge, talented artist, Sue Bleiweiss, invited other sketchbook artists to help her inspire readers to make the most of their own sketchbooks through exploration of different themes and  how the visual concepts brainstormed on the page can, in turn, become finished works of art.
I was so honored to be part of this very talented group asked to share their own pages. Below are two sketchbook pages I created using artist's pastels for my theme, Treasures.

From my illustrations, I constructed a mixed media artwork that is a poignant ode to Anne Morrow Lindbergh's, Gifts From The Sea.

I know you will love this book!
And can purchase your copy at any of the following book distributors...
In celebration of the book's release the following prize will go to a lucky commenter!
From Mistyfuse, a 10yd combination package of Mistyfuse that includes 6 yards of White and 2 yards each of Black and Ultraviolet and a Goddess Sheet.
Just leave a comment on or before July 11th!
And be sure read the other reviews shared and leave a comment. There are prizes being given away on every blog!

June 26: Jill Berry  and Sue Bleiweiss

June 27: Violette Clark and Kathyanne White

June 28: Kathy Sperino and Leslie Tucker Jenison

Beautiful artwork! I loved seeing a finished piece come together from two of your sketches. It makes keeping a sketchbook worthwhile when you know you can look back later and get inspiration for a finished piece!

Looking forward to receiving my copy but Amazon is a bit behind in Britain. Have enjoyed following the challenge. Would love to win. Best wishes.

I have seen the book; it's on my wish list. Your pages are sweet. I love the soft beachy colors along with the collaged addition of the tulle and other fabrics/paper.

That looks amazing. My dream is to be asked to participate in a group projest like that someday. When I did Somerset in Love, I was still early in my art journey- and my style has changed so much since then. I got very little covereage in it.

Your starfish is just amazing - I had to look closely at the photos in the book(until I read your commentary)to see that it was actually drawn (and not an object).

Your artwork is lovely - I like the flowers and bird from your "accident" project. Thanks for the giveaway as know that I will use the Mistyfuse products. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery from the cuts, bruises, and muscle pain. Please check with an M.D. that nothing is broken -- some fractures take a while to show up so suggest a digital orthopaedic x-ray set. I learned this the hard way.
