Some Creative EXCITEMENT!!!

My increasingly focused attention on these hot Summer days, was gladly interrupted with some creative excitement this week when a large envelope arrived and carefully packaged inside were my NEW Stencils - Bird Eggs and Rabbits by Stencil Girl Products!

ONCE AGAIN, I FIND MYSELF COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY HEAD-OVER-HEELS FOR THESE NEW DESIGNS!!!

I have been spending any free moments stenciling my He-ART out using vintage ledger pages, paint, and my NEW Bird's Egg Stencil to create all sorts of decorative papers for decorating, gift-wrap, note cards, collages, and other miscellaneous art projects.  If you have ever tried to paint a realistic bird's egg, then you know it is not an easy task.  Well, I have simplified the process for you with this new stencil.  Now, it is so easy! to have, in a matter of minutes, a stunning almost perfect representation of a beautiful egg!

And when I wasn't playing with my Bird's Egg Stencil, I was making lovely lavender sachets with rabbit silhouettes stenciled and stitched on fabric, using the same techniques demonstrated in this previous post.  So adorable, and PERFECT! as a summer-time decorative accent.

I just could not be more proud of these stencils products. Made from 7 mil mylar, a plastic film that is heat resistant. The stencils are thick enough to be strong and long lasting, yet they are thin enough to provide a seamless look in your art. The stencils are also laser cut - can you say precision!! - right here in the USA.

You can use the stencils with paint or texture medium (Wood Icing rocks). They will work with encaustic products and you can clean them on your hot palette if you are quick about it. Use them for rubbings or as a template for drawing, incising or stitching.

I know you're going to LOVE with them, as much as I do!!! Order here.

Jackie... I apologize for answering your question in this manner... unfortunately, blogger does not always provide the email address of commentors.

You inquired about the colors used in my egg example. I started with a Baby Blue for the all-over-color, then a Burnt Umber for the dark shading and a White for the light shading, followed by a Medium Grey for the sporadic spots and a Raw Umber for the crown of spots.
