As The Heart Mellows

Days and weeks have passed, this blog seems a bit foreign. Although time has passed the same as it always would, to me time has stood nearly still.  I have been slowly, very slowly trying to find my way back... back to a new normal since my mother died in March. Winter has stubbornly refused to leave these Plains and so has this Winter residing within. Even though, minutes have melted into months now, there are days of struggle and deep sadness.

Forgive me as I continue down this unfamiliar path. For now only images of paint and canvas meant to capture bits of nature and poetry will serve as my voice while the heart mellows, the heartache lessens and words, once again, begin to flow.

Sending you love and heartfelt wishes for inner peace. This journey is one we all must face and travel it at our own speed. You are missed. xoxo

Traci my mom passed away three years ago and there are days that I can't seem to get her off my mind. Give yourself lots of time, TLC and patience. Father Time is the only healer in this case.

So sorry to read your post about your mom. My Mom passed away in February and I can totally relate to your sadness. Your art will speak for you during this time.
