Sharing Joy

"The greatest gift you can give yourself is joy, not only because of the feeling that goes with it at the moment, but because of the magnificent experience it will draw to you.  It will produce wonders in your life."

- Jack Boland

In the making of friends we find joy, especially when we share in the joy of their successes and accomplishments.  I was honored to be invited by friend, Gina Rossi Armfield, last year to contribute to her book/dvd project.

The fruits of Gina's labors are now blossoming with the release of not just one, but two companion dvds, The No Excuses Approach To Drawing and Watercolor and  The No Excuses Approach To Mixed Media Collage and her book, No Excuses Art Journaling, that will debute later in the fall.

To help Gina celebrate, I am excited to participate in a dvd giveaway.  To win one of Gina's new dvds, leave a comment sharing a bit of joy in your life! A winner will be selected before midnight on Sunday, June 2nd.

Other blog party participants include -
May 20th - Jessica Herman Goodson
May 21st - Dion Dior
May 22nd - Serena Barton
May 23rd - Chris Kalina
May 24th - Kelly Kilmer
May 28th  - Pam Garrison
May 29th - Jennifer Joanua
May 30th - Tracie Lyn Huskamp
May 31st - Lesley Riley

In addition, Gina is having daily giveaways, so be sure to visit her new site for more information.

It would be so wonderful to win a dvd of hers. i'd love to have more of a regimented timeline for doing my journaling and it sounds like no more excuses is just what I need.

I am 66 years old...and have moved to a smaller house in a sweet neighborhood....moving from the house of my dreams.... BUT this new spot is like a new journal, planning color on my walls, a yellow happy house, with aqua shutters and white trim,...new pink, orange, and lavender flowers...with the touches of a soft green in the leaves all around....starting over on a new place...full of JOY as I kind of paint my new canvas or write my new journal. And I am falling in love with the new possibilities of new moments in my garden and neighborhood life!! .... with more time to spend with my husband and many grandchildren....the joy of it all...new beginnings.

For Mother's Day my Man of 43 years gave me a yellow floribunda rose bush. The joy I have gotten, planting, picking and enjoying it and the years of love it represents give me joy in a moment-to-moment way. Thanks for this.

One of my joys is my nephew. He has many troubles for someone so young (3 years), but he has a fighting spirit that inspires me when I face my own troubles.

I would love a kickstart for my art. I've let it go too long. When I saw the watercolor DVD cover I said, "Hmm, I'd like that."

I would love to win this! I'm a mother of 3 and have really gotten into art journaling and playing around with art in the last year. I used to do so much more as a kid--hopefully, I'll get my groove back :)

Joy is coming home. Sleeping in my own bed, lap cats glad to see me, and my flora and fauna. Being a part time resident right now due to ailing parents really makes me appreciate my life and my home. It is my sanctuary. Thank you for the chance to add to the library. Rest assured, these are all going on the gift to myself wish list. They look fabulous! xo

Two of my favorite themes...joy and gratitude...I try to be mindful to CHOOSE both daily. Art journaling brings joy to my life and "helps" me record the process of life. Thanks for the give aways. :)

JOY! What a great topic! My joy first and foremost is my family...loving husband and three amazing kids ages 15-23. So much joy over the years and much to come. The other thing that brings me joy is creating of any kind. I believe God gave the gift of creating to my soul and I feel close to Him while creating. I make one of a kind pieces of jewelry and have recently started art journaling, which is a great learning, growing and experimenting journey although I have done some mixed media art in the past. This is why the DVD would be so very helpful to me as a beginner. Thanks for offering the giveaway!
