Never shall I forget the time I spent with You...

dear friends.....
I am having a very difficult day today, and my news is most sad. Due to a severe illness, my husband and I made the painful decision to put our precious little dachshund, Ally, to sleep this morning.

She was the BEST companion, friend, and a constant source of inspiration for my illustration art! She was my first dog, and part of our family for 13 years. I rescued her from an abusive situation as a puppy. She was so incredibly special, nothing will ever replace her. I feel so utterly heartbroken...

Our vet was very compassionate and gentle with her and with us. We were able to be with her until she fell asleep.

It is just so very very hard to believe she is gone.

I'm so sorry,Tracie. I went through this with my beloved dog a few years ago and know how hard it is to lose a family member who you love so much and unconditionally loves you back.
Sending hugs your way...

Oh Tracie... I don't even know what to say. Words are so inadequate. I'm sending you a huge, tight, long cyber-hug and my deepest sympathies. I hope she's running and playing with my Westie Puff right about now...
Love, Shari

Oh Tracie, I'm so very sorry. It's one of the hardest things in the world to do, but when we truly love our pets, we know to do this last thing for them. I wish there were some magic words that I could say to make this all go away for you, but I don't know what they are. Know that I'm thinking about you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweetie. I had a dachshund growing up (Gretel)and had to make the same decision when she grew old- my heart goes out to you.

Oh, the sorrow that is yours today, is measured by the happiness you felt with your sweet companion! I am sorry you had to say goodbye, that empty feeling is such a deep void isn't it!
Thinking of you, and sending you a hug.
