in the kingdom of Nature."

Yesterday, the blustery winds brought with them
the first snow. Big flakes, mixed with rain, fell to
the ground creating, only for a brief moment,
a world of white.
And another first was the heavy frost that blanketed
the landscape overnight. Such a beautiful vision, that
I could not resist sharing a glimpse...

"Out of the bosom of the Air,
Out of the cloud-folds of her garments shaken,
Over the woodlands brown and bare.
Over the harvest-fields forsaken,
Silent and soft and slow
Descends the snow."

Thanks for sharing the beauty of your first frost!
Oh, this has me wanting to touch and hold and take photos and do all manner of things I would not have dreamed of, if you hadn't shared these glorious images. . It makes me think of Tennyson's 'Morte d'Arthur': "rain and hail and snow". I am glad you were well enough to go outside.
wonderful!
beautiful photos... it looks more like a dusting of sugar than snow!
I haven't been around much lately... Your last two posts are just lovely...
