It is difficult to choose a season because they have all their different beauties. But the spring is my preferred because I like seeing reborn buds on trees, hearing the laments of love of birds, seeing born again the life... Bravo for so many talents and thank you for this giveaway.

Well, that's easy. Here in Chicago where summer is hot and humid, spring is barely noticeable and winter is COLD and windy.......let's talk about autumn. *S*

Trees turning colors, humidity gone, blue skies - a whole new energy arrives.

My favorite season... early autumn, when the colors are vivid, the days are warm, the nights cool.

What a beautiful calendar and book! I normally love the long hot days of summer. Picnics, bike rides, and sunshine until almost 8:00pm! Only this year it has been TOO hot in Louisiana and we haven't been able to do anything outdoors.

Hi, well I love Autumn. Here in Australia the summer takes its toll on both humans and nature. Autumn brings coolness and the promise of rain. Our energy is starting to return. The hot winds have gone and the deciduous trees are turning beautiful amber colours. Lovely! Bethx

ahhh I have this on my wishlist on Amazon so I'll cross my fingers....

My favourite season is Autumn. There is still warmth but not the heat of summer. The colours of the leaves inspires me all year long. Here in Australia in our capital city, Canberra, the autumn is spectacular, but last year I went to NY and Central Park with all the leaves was breathtaking. There is nothing like it!

At this time of year winter my favourite time of year would have to be spring. This winter has been so cold we are looking forward to some warmth and the flowering of our bulbs. The lovely winter flowering yellow wattle is out already, enticing us into spring and we wait impatiently for those days of bright Australian sunshine with gentle winds. Our guild has your book and it is so popular it is hard to borrow. I would love my own personal copy. Thank you for this offer.

Hi Tracie,
thanks for this amazing opportunity to win. I've been a silent reader of your blog for a while now... If I have to choose one Season only, I'd definitely pick Autumn for its wondrous colors, for the sense of warmth and 'home' and 'nesting' it inspires, for its bountiful harvest and because it is the prelude to Christmas and all the projects for the festivities, filled with new energy and anticipation. But each and every Season has something wonderful to offer... we just have to open our eyes!
Monica.

My favorite month of the year is May. I hear the wonderful song from Camelot about "the lusty month of May" all month long. But that being said, I love Fall - not too hot, gorgeous colours, lots of movement (geese and ducks flying) and even with the falling leaves, the promise of spring.

Carol Kunnerup said...

I can't choose a season. They each have their beauty. Although i must confess that summer and fall do keep me much warmer than spring and winter, and that is a good thing. I love mix media but I am hard on myself about my finished products....so your book would come in handy. the beautiful colors of fall here on the farm are calling me to create something new today.

Spring and Fall, each in its turn. The changing colors, the fresh air: one with its sense of potential, the other of both fulfillment and loss. Plus I get to wear sweaters again.

My favorite season seems to be the one coming up! Maybe that's a grass-is-greener approach, but I love them all. I love fall for the colors and the onset of cooler weather and rain (I live in the Pacific NW) after relatively warm and dry weather. I love winter as the temps get colder. I even love the snow we sometimes get as long as I don't have to go anywhere in it! And then comes spring with the new growth and summer brings return of some of the song birds, gardening, and warmer weather.....Hard to choose!

Favorite season? Easy. I love autumn. In fact, I purposely got married in fall so that I could enjoy the cool weather and the colors.

Lori Wostl said...

I have to say I am completely fickle. Up to 2 years ago I hated winter, then I discovered snowshoeing and that no one expects you to do anything so evenings are open to listen to books and make journals and paint so now I'm wavering. Summer in Colorado has always just been way too hot and dry, but this year I started hiking in the mountains at least once a week and guess what - this is something that fills my soul - so now I'm wavering again. Spring is my most productive time and I love, love, love the long days...oh well guess I'll pick autumn. Because of the colors. Yep that's it Autumn.

There are so many reasons to love each season, but I would have to say that Autumn is my favorite. It really is a toss up between fall and spring, but I lean towards spring. After a long, cold, beige winter in the desert, the spring bulbs are greeted with glee. The birds migrating in a dance - Juncos, Thrushes, &warblers move to the mountains and the hummers, & orioles take their place. Winter is ok for about 6 weeks, and summer is fine until it gets too hot, I could live in spring and fall forever.

My favorite Season is the Spring. I live in West Michigan where there are 4 very distinctive seasons. The winters are the most brutal thanks to the Great lakes, but it is the Spring that gives us HOPE that a new day is coming. We also see how clear, crisp and beaitful the blues of the Great Lakes radiate. It raises our spirits and fills my heart with joy. Spring is my favorite season of the year!

For some reason I really enjoy winter. Yes, it can be cold, but I live in the deep south so bitter cold only comes in spells. We need the break from the heat anyway! Though I am obsessed with leaves, bare trees have their own special kind of beauty, especially for sketching. The holidays are another reason for loving winter (though I do realize Thanksgiving IS in the fall). Its also a nice time to snuggle up with a book and learn some new techniques and a great time for quilting!

Autumn would be my favourite season. I live on the shores of Georgian Bay just under the Niagara Escarpment (Owen Sound, Ontario) and here the fall is so glorious! Of course, it also precedes a very long, cold, snowy season some call winter ... we call it the sit by the fire and spin time. I have long desired to own a copy of your book "Nature Inspired" because both my husband and i are artists (sadly "starving") but living where we live is heavenly. My favorite season is Spring. Probably because my birthday is March 21.

Thanks for offering the giveaway.

oooo, love the look of your calendar! I can't choose a favourite season I'm afraid, I love them all, especially as each is so different - daffodils, blossom, the colour of new leaves in Spring; warm sunny days, time to paddle on a beach, strong green coloured leaves, hydrangeas, roses in Summer; crisp, cooler air, coloured leaves, bonfires, nights drawing in in Autumn; cold, crisp days, frost, bare branched trees, being cosy inside in Winter :)

I can never decide between spring or fall. Spring because everything is coming to life again or fall because of the beautiful autumn colors. kimstoys at gmail dot com

My favorite season is Winter, even though we don't get a long or super cold one here in Georgia. I like the chance to sit back and think about things quietly and winter is the time to do it.

Spring, definitely spring for it's achingly innocent green, but maybe ...
Summer, golden days on the shimmering water ... but what about ...
Fall, crisp jean jackets, shimmering aspen, new beginnings, but what would I do without ...
Winter, clean, stripped bare and inviting something new ...
Oh, I do need a calendar that loves each one of them.

I love summer the most. Sunshine gives me energy. I love to go outside and play in the pool with my girl. Have a outdoor tea party. Catch butterfly... nature walk...pick serviceberries. I hope that I can win! Beautiful work :)

I love autumn and spring both, but my favorite season is spring. I love to see the rebirth of our flowers and greenery -- especially the bluebonnets! They feed my eyes and soul each year.

Favourite season: Autumn with its beautiful colors and crisp air is a winner.

The only season I really enjoy is autumn. I was born in Autumn, married in Autumn. I love the colours, the relief from the summer heat and humidity, and the sound of the leaves falling.

We do not have different seasons here in Singapore, but i would think I like spring when everything comes back in full colours!

Well I love the fun of summer, but my favorite is autumn:)

I actually like summer. I know it can be too hot sometimes. But, summertime is the opportunity to have more laid back times with family and friends, enjoying the ripe summer fruits, celebrating freedom, and to site different shapes in the puffy white clouds. Summer is for me!

Oh, I love Summer! I like it hot, and love all the flowers in my garden. I just saw your calendar in the stores and was so delighted by it.

Hmmm... It's hard to pick between our 6 weeks of spring or our 6 of autumn in Phoenix. Spring is beautiful with the desert in bloom. Fall is a huge relief after months and months of heat.I can open doors and windows an hear the birds outside.

I love summer. Maybe it's because my birthday is in July, or because of the whole summer vacation from school mindset left over from childhood, but the hot, lazy days (and nights) of summer have always been my favorite time of year.

I love summer because I live in Seattle. It's the most amazing time of year. :)

Summer is my favorite season because I just retired on Aug. 10th and I don't like wearing coats, jackets, and long sleeves!! One of my goals, now that I'm not bound by a schedule, is to do more art and learn how to draw. I would love to win your giveaway. Thanks!!

mmm......favorites are so hard.

First off, my favorite is NOT summer!
Don't like the heat. Even with AC, it is hot everywhere.

Spring would be favorite but for allergy.

Fall seems like the start of the year to me.....maybe left over from school.

But I think winter just might be my favorite. Especially when there is snow.

Quilterin said...

Spring! Absolutely spring! The older I get, the more I NEED spring to arrive and winter to be over. Every year it seems to take longer.

I don't think I have a favorite season any more, but there is something that grabs me about the transitions from one to another. Summer into fall, especially--wow! Who doesn't feel that one?!

My favorite season is Autumn and I would LOVE to win the giveaway. Autumn, for me has the most beautiful colors and though a lot of people think Spring is the renewal season...for me it is Autmn. Everything takes a little rest - getting ready to burst forth in Spring. Things don't look like they are dying to me, just gearing up for the rest they need to start again. I think people could take a clue from nature and slow down like Autumn. This much-harried world of today just wears me out...and I need an Autumn every year for my body's renewal and psyche. Good luck to all of us who enter the giveaway!

Hi Tracie,

Oh what a treat to win your gorgeous calendar...
and your wonderful book.

My favorite season has to be SPRING. I love all the new shoots of grasses and leaves and of course the spring flower bulbs peeking through the soil to see if it's time to say hello!!
Every season has it's grandeur but spring is for me a cycle of life that refreshes my soul.

I love your artistry and always happy to see the things that you create!

Thanks for the chance,

Fall, definitely. Although I live on the west coast, the change in season is poignant. The smell of wood burning stoves, change in temp from hot to chilly mornings...it's heaven!

Wow, a favorite season... I live in New England and so all of our seasons are so distinctly different and wonderful on their own. I love the colors of autumn and the sense of reflection the season brings and in contrast, when all the flowers are in bloom 2 seasons later and there is so much hope and promise those displays of nature. Hmmm, maybe my favorite season is the season of color! That's what seems to move me in any season. :-) Thank you so much for the opportunity to win your book and calendar. They look LOVELY!

My favorite season is any in which I can garden - which here in south Texas seems to be just about 11 1/2 month a year. Although I am so tired of this 101 degree season that we are currently having.
